FRAN COBRITISH CO-OPERATION ESSENTIAL M. HERRIOT IN LONDON. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Reuter’s Telegrams.) LONDON, June 22. (Received June 23, 1 a.m.). M. Herriot, accompanied by his permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, has arrived in London for a conference with Mr Ramsay MacDonald at Chequers. There are high hopes that the meeting will prove the first step tow'ards the settlement of Europe’s outstanding problems.
M. Herriot, in an interview, expressed the greatest faith in the Entente, and declared lose Franco-British relations essential, both now’ and in the future, for the peace of the world.
