ANSWERED THE CALL
ARISTOCRATIC ARMY LASSIE. (Sun Cables). LONDON, January 7 27. A bombshell fell in society on the discovery that Lord Kinnaird’s eldest daughter was among the speakers at a Salvation Army gathering,. She has been secretary and active in slum work for the past two years. She has reached a captain’s rank. Her superior officers describe her as tjie “fair-haired, blue bonnetted captain,” and as efficient, humble, and overwhelmingly sty. She is happiest when sympathising with the poorest East Enders. The children of the slums love her.
