WAIMATtJKU RIVER BOARD. PROPOSAL TO RAISE LOAN OF £4OOO. Under “The River Boards Act 1908” and “The Local Bodies Loans Act 1913” and the amendments of the said Acts. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Waimatuku River Board proposes to raise a Special Loan of £4,000 for the purpose of providing further money required (including the cost of the necessary plant and machinery) for carrying out the following river works in respect to the Waimatuku River from its mouth to the limits of the River District, namely: the straightening, widening and deepening the bed of the said river and the construction of embankments. The said Loan, and if same is borrowed from the State Advances Office, the instalments of principal and interest payable thereon and if not so borrowed the interest and a sinking fund of One pound per centum per annum on the amount of the loan, are to be secured by a special rate sufficient to meet the periodical payments of the said instalments of principal and interest or of interest and sinking fund and ten per centum more than such payments; and such rate shall be levied on a graduated scale in such proportions as are appointed by the Board according to the classification made by the Board of the rateable property within the District. The said Loan shall be raised by the issue of a debenture or debentures payable at not less than fifteen nor more than forty years from the issue of the same and bearing interest nt not more than Six pounds per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay all preliminary expenses, the cost of raising the said loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year out of the loan when rasied JOHN FISHER, Clerk to the Board.
