WEST COAST PROGRESS
SCENIC RESORTS AND THE EXHIBITION. (Per United Press Association.) HOKITIKA, November 20. It was announced yesterday that Clements Motors, Ltd., a large local motor firm, has been acquired by Newman Bros., of Nelson, at a substantial figure. The deal is one of the largest ever operated here. The new firm will have a central office in Hokitika in a fine new garage lately erected and will provide special services to all parts of the district, including Waiho Glacier, and also a daily motor connection between Reefton and Hokitika. It is' not possible to make a daily train connection between Reefton and Hokitika so the new service will be a great boon. At the weekly meeting of-the Exhibition Council last evening it was reported that the building is now practically ready for exhibits. The size of the buildings im. presses all visitors. The exhibition is the largest venture yet attempted on the Coast and promises to be a great success. The bulk of the space is now disposed of so that a great display is assured.
