A message from Louisville states that the judges decided that Zev won by a nose. The controversy has apparently been abandoned. Zev becomes the greatest boney winning horse with a total of 301,073 dollars by Saturday's race. SYDNEY PLAYING AREAS. A CONFERENCE HELD. SYDNEY, November 19. (Received November 20, 1.10 a.m.). Delegates representing the Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer Association and Australian Rules met a special committee of the Council of the Royal Agricultural Society in conference to discuss arrangements for use of the Society’s grounds in the coming football season. The council explained their object was to allow all codes to play the big matches on the Show Ground and the conference ‘agreed to meet again on Friday, when a mutual agreement will be reached by which all codes will play the big matches throughout the season on the show ground. The Cricket Association decided to accept an invitation from the New Zealand Cricket Council to send a representative New South Wales team to New Zealand.
