NEW- ZEALAND AS A FIELD FOR SETTLEMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, November 18. (Received November 19, 5.5 p.m.) Sir William Windham, a member of the Overseas’ Emigration Committee, which lately visited the dominions, when interviewed on his roturn to Southampton, said: An improvement in the European situation is the key to increased migration to Australia. The Australians feel that fresh markets must be found if large numbers of new settlers are to be absorbed. In New Zealand the best land has already been taken U p and further roads and transport facilities are necessary before settlers in large numbers can be absorbed. In Australia, however, the possibilities are enormous.
