The result was reflected in the immediate reduction of their machines to their Customers—a lead which other makers were compelled to follow. As other makers kept right on and made a noise of fheir winnings, THE HARLEY has again entered the list, and have started out by winning Ist and 3rd positions in the 100-mile American National Championship on September 3rd at Kansas City, Missouri, in the remarkable time of 60 minutes and II seconds; or at the average rate of 99.7 miles per hour—a new world’s record for the motor cycle race—proving that the Harley has still all of the stamina of oid for hard work.
