The Moeraki leaves Melbourne at 4.30 f>.m. on Thursday and is due at Wellington on Tuesday and leaves on Wednesday for Xyttelton. She is due in Dunedin on Friday and at Bluff on Saturday, sailing on Monday, November 20, for Melbourne. The Opihi cleared Wellington at 1.30 y».m. yesterday for Dunedin and is due to leave on Monday for Bluff, arriving on Tuesday. She sails the same day for Wellington, kelson and New Plymouth via ports. November 15. The Board of Trade inquiry into the loss of the steamer Trevessa has opened. Mr B. Aspinall, K.C., representing the Board, explained that the present was really a re hearing of the brief inquiry ■which was held at Mauritius but which threw no light on the cause of the disaster. The Board was now in possession of much fuller information. Mr Aspinall described the crew’s adven- [ tures as a story which would live in British history for all time. The inquiry was adjourned.
