THE ENILE'S RETURN

THE CROWN PRINCE AT HOME GERMANY’S TASK NO DOUBT AS TO THE OUTCOME. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, November 14. (Received Uovember 15, 10 p.m.) The Daily Chronicle’s correspondent at Oels. in an interview with the ex-Crown Prince, secured what is described as his last statement before his retirement into private life. “I am happy, after nine years, again to be in my own home on my own estate,” declared the Prince. "I am happy to bear with my countrymen the trials that have come to our Fatherland. I have only one intention, namely to devote myself to my private duties and within my sphere of work and duty to forward the task of reconstructing my country, concerning whose recovery I have no doubt.” The Prince displayed interest in the political situation in England and was surprised at the news of an election. He speculated on the likelihood of Mr Lloyd George returning to power. During the interview, two Princesses came into the room and the ex-Crown Prince immediately remarked: “The last time I saw my children was at their christening.” REPARATIONS COMMISSION. EXPERT COMMITTEE SUGGESTION. PARIS, November 14. The Reparations Commission unanimously decided to hear the Germans on Germany’s resources. The chairman (M. Barthou) an nounced his intention after that to propose the appointment of a committee of experts of Allied and associated nationalities to furnish data upon which Germany’s payments in 1924, 1925 and 1926 should be based. Sir John Bradbury said he feared that the scheme would be too restricted.
