MOTOR CAR FATALITY. (Per United Press Association). AUCKLAND, May 10. A widow, Mrs Bessie Shorples, died in hospital from injuries, the result of being knocked down by a motor-car in Queen street last night. Her husband was killed by a tramcar about three years ago. RUN OVER BY TRAM. AUCKLAND, May 10. Maurice Johnson, aged 8, was killed through being run over by a tramcar near his parent’s residence at Archill. He ran in front of the car. FATAL FALL. AUCKLAND, May lb. A bushfeller named Stanley Hutchinson, aged 32, died in hospital as the result of injuries received on March 31 through a fall from the wharf to a steamer’s decks, a distance of 15 feet. FELL DOWN GANGWAY WELLINGTON, May 10. Norman Muir, fifth engineer of the Hurunui, fell from the gangway last evening, a distance of fifteen feet, and sustained injuries to his head. He was taken to the hospital, and his condition is serious.
