Warren denies that he served sentences in Australia or was the leader of a band of international crooks._ He declares that his arrest has humiliated his wife who is related to persons in high positions in England. He alleges that she is the divorced wife of a former Cabinet Minister in a large British Dominion and her three brothers are magistrates in London, Canada and Egypt respectively. PARIS, April 30.

Senor Santos, a Spanish businessman, on Saturday gave evidence that Warren swindled him out of £1650. Monrecon, a Frenchman, in evidence said that Warren cheated him of £4OOO.

[Warren was arrested in a motor car, together with his wife, by Paris detectives, on charges of alleged extensive thefts in London. He was described as an Australian, and is believed to have resided in Sydney and New Zealand.]
