BRIGANTINE LOST

TEN LIVES REPORTED LOST. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Reuter’s Telegrams.) MANILA, April 30. (Received May 1, 12.20 a.m.) The British brigantine, Amy Turner, from Australia with a consignment of coal to Manila, was lost at sea, near Gaum on March 27. Charles West and three other British survivors reached Hinatuan, East Coast of Mindanao, in the ship’s boat, after twenty-four days’ privation. The town’s folk provided food and clothing and ar ranged their passage to Cebu (Phillipines). Ten lives were reported to be lost.
