VICTORIA HOME

COMING SALE OF WORK. The Victoria Home Copimitte held its bi-monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon, Mrs Baird presiding. The Matron’s report stated that there were eleven in mates in the Home, five adults and six children. She also reported sheltering temporarily the young and the homeless. The work was going on satisfactorily and there \yas an absence of sickness in the Home at present. Mrs Baird sepoke of the projected sale at the Home on May 24, which had now resolved itself into an annual sale. However, as the public had acted in a generous and friendly spirit in the past, those working for the benefit of the Home could confidently count on its generous support again in this effort. There will be the usual display of needle work, a table for home made baking, etc., and other articles of saleable value which the generosity of friends may present.
