The United States has again asked Bri tain's diplomatic support in the suppression of smuggling, suggesting that the United States be informed whenever large liquor cargoes leave Britain, while the United States would reciprocally appraise Britain of American exports that might illegally be used in British territory. USE OF ARMY AND NAVY PROPOSED. PRESIDENT HARDING’S MOVE, WASHINGTON, April 28. A White House spokesman announced that President Harding has completed a plan providing for the full use of naval and military forces to suppress liquor smuggling. The President has requested the Department of Justice tn rale whether such forces may be used to enforce civil prohibition. If the ruling is favourable a fleet of fast submarine chasers will immediately be assigned to patrol the coast with military guard ashore to prevent landing.
