The Shaw, Savill & Albion Co.’s Raranga (Captain Andrews) left Lyttelton on Saturday for Bluff where she will load 5,058 ; crates cheese, 2000 cases apples, 140 casks j tallow and pelts, 1,040 bales wool, 1,060 •acks peas and sundry general cargo. She is due to leave Bluff on Tuesday for her final port (Wellington). The Moeraki went down to Port Chalmers on Friday morning to dock for overhaul. She is to sal on May 3 for Bluff and Melbourne. The Waikouaiti is to leave Sydney early this week for Bluff, Dunedin and Lyttelton. The Union S.S. Co. announces that if sufficient suport is forthcoming it will extend its coastal services to include Tauranga, the principal port in the Bay of Plenty. It is probable that a vessel will load in the south about the end of May for Tauranga, calling at Oamaru, Tun ar n, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Gisborne on the way north. The first loading will be a trial, and it is hoped that if suffioeat support warrants it the service to Tauranga will be continued. Probably the Kini, which has been engaged on the Dunedin-Napier-Gisborne, via porta, service, will be utilised. UNITED STATES PATROL BOAT ARRIVES. AUCKLAND, April 29. The United States Naval patrol boat Ontario arrived from Pago Pago this morning and anchored in the stream. She will . dock to-morrow morning for overhaul, re- ; maining here till May 20.
