TO-DAY’S RUGBY
GALBRAITH SHIELD MATCHES. It is practically certain that now the Wednesday half-holiday will be reverted to in June the winners of the first round of matches in the present Saturday Rugby competition will be awarded the coveted Galbraith Shield. This will doubtless have the effect of making the teams redouble their efforts in the remaining matches, and the public are assured of witnessing some very interesting games before the competitions are reorganised. Marist will meet Waikiwi at 2.10 p.m., while Winton will take the field for the first time in seven years as a senior cluo to try conclusions with Pirates.
