FLEETHAM'S sire Picton (7) second to j Spearmint, Epsom Derby by Orvieto (1) by Bend Or (1) —Napoli by Marconi (14), from Hecuba by Asonomy (19) —Helen of Troy jby Hermit (5) —La Belle Helene by St. Albans (2), by Stockwell (3) —Teterima, by | Voltigeur (2). FLEETHAM’S dam Flete, by the unbeaten St. turnon (11) and the greatest sire the ' world has known, from Free, by Plebein, (11) from a full sister to Lady Langden, dam of Hampton, sire of three English Derby winners, by Kettledrum (3) sou of Rataplan, (3) full brother to Stockwell (3) Iby The Baron (24) —Pocahontas, from Haricot, daughter oi Queen Mary, one of the most famous mares in the English Stud Book. i FIzEETHAM comes from the same branch of the No. 10 family as Bayardo, Lemberg. Hampton, Beauclerc, Marcian, Blenhoolie, I Blair Athol, Posiedon, Paper Money, all great sires of classical winners. It will be seen from the above that Fleetham is certainly one of the best bred horses imported to New Zealand. (For extended lines see Stud Book, Vol. VII.) FLEETHAM is a beautfully proportioned ; brown horse stanching 16-2 inches on spieni did bone and feet with great muscular de- • vclopment and a bold head well set on. I One has only to glance at his ancestry to see that he is sure to be a successful sire of race horses, hurdlers, or cross country performers. FLEETHAM is a natural jumper and when racing on the flat under big weights and against strong fields always proved himself a game racehorse despite meeting with misfortune on the training track. FLEETHAM in his early racing career was mated with one mare the result being Grand Fleet, 3 years old, who is recorded as runner-up on four occasions out of six starts during the season ;ust closed. Since going to the stud Fleetham’s first crop of foals, now yearlings, are very highly spoken of, being well grown and full of quality. This beautifully bred horse will serve a limited number of approved mares at £l2 12/-, payable January Ist, 1923. Good grazing ior mares at 2/6 per week. Every care taken with mares but no responsibility. Mares by rail consign to Wallacetown Junction. Letters and telegrams Makarewa P.O. Book early to save disappointment.
