COMMISSIONER- CONTROL. A HINT OF EXTENSIONS. (Special to the Times.) WELLINGTON. October 4. A question of considerable interest- was raised in the House to-day. when Mr H. Atmore (Nelson) asked if it was the intention of the Government to place under the control of the Public Service Commissioner the officers of the Railway Department and other departments not at present under commissioner control. Mr Massey: My answer is in the negative as fax as the Railway Department is con-' cerned. Mr Atmore: And tie others? Mr MaSsey: You can put the question on the Order Paper.
