PORT OF BLUFF. Jjs. Paloona is expected to arrive from Dunedin at 8 a.m. to-day and will sail for Melbourne thia evening. S.s. Tasmania will leave Port Chalmers for Bluff on Tuesday morning. OVERDUE VESSELS. THE ABEMANA SAFE. SYDNEY, May 18. The Abemana arrived at Yamba, at the mouth of the Clarence River, on Wednesday, after having been blown north a considerable distance by boisterous southerly winds. It is thought that the Manurewa should have encountered the same winds. A suggestion has been made that a seaplane should search in case the vessel is disabled and out of the track of other vessels. The Dominion Meteorologist reports:— Present indications are for variable winds with moderate to strong southerlies prevailing soon weather dull and showery and colder barometer rising everywhere shortly.
