PORT OF BLUFF.
The Union Company advise that the Wanaka is announced to leave Auckland on Saturday afternoon next for Bluff, thence proceeding to Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. S.s. Matakana (Captain Vosdet) arrived from Wellington at noon yesterday to load 36,000 carcases of mv.tton, 13,000 crates of cheese, 20000 bales c- wool and a quantity of pelts and butter. Her next port of call is Timaru. S.B. Canadian Constructor (Captain Webb) arrived from Melbourne at 6 pm. yesterday. She will load 1140 bales of wool, 1500 sacks of grass seed and 100 casks of tallow and pelts. The Paloona, from Melbourne, via Wellington and Lyttelton, is due in Dunedin to-day and is to sail for Bluff and Melbourne. Sjj. Wingatui (Captain Paul) left for Dunedin at 5 p.m. yesterday. S.s. Kakapo sailed for Dunedin at 5 pm. yesterday. The Union Company’s cargo steamer, Waihora, at present en route from Newcastle to Wellington with a cargo of coal, is to leave Newcastle next month for Calcutta, via Singapore and Penang. Bhe has been fixed to load at Calcutta in July and August for New Zealand ports, via Singapore and Samarang. Auckland will be her first New Zealand port of call. The Matatua is expected at Nelson about June 6 from Brisbane to commence loading.
