SENTENCES FOR THEFT (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 12. At the Supreme Court Edward William Harris, manager of the United Motor Company (Kaikoura), and James John Gibson, the company’s foreman, who were yesterday found guilty on charges of receiving stolen motor parts, appeared for sentence. The jury recommended that leniency be extended to Gibson. Harris was sentenced to 18 months’ hard labour and Gibson was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
