THE MINING DISPUTE
OWNERS AND NATIONAL AGREEMENT. CONFERENCE AGAIN REFUSED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 14. Further correspondence passed between the Miners’ Federation and the Mine OwnAssociation in connection with the owners’ decision to refer the existing dispute to the Arbitration Court. Mr O’Rourke, who has just commencsd his duties as secretary of the Federation, repeats the request for another conference to consider the drafting of a natioilil agreement on a practical basis. The owners’ reply, signed by Mr W. Pryor, makes it definitely clear that the association will not depart from its present policy.
