GREEK REPORTS SUSPECT MISREPRESENTATION OF BRITISH POLICY (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian <fc N.Z. Cable Association. I LONDON, August. 3. (Received August 4, 8.30 p.m.)Greek communications are eliciting grave ■uspicion in official circles. The latest alleges that the British notified Athens that no objection would be raised against Greek aims, even to the occupation of Constantinople. It is alleged that this communication was handed to the Greek Foreign Minister through the British Minister, Earl Granville. In a telegram to Mr Lloyd George this is officially repudiated. On the contrary Britain and France intimated to the Greek Government that they were entirely opposed to the present Greek schemes. TURKS EXECUTING PRISONERS. LONDON, August 3. (Received August 4, 11.5 p.m.) The Daily Mail’s Constantinople correspondent reports that the Kemaiists, out of resentment at the reverses, are executing captured Greek soldiers if they are found to be Turkish subjects.
