NOTICE TO A CORESPONDENT.
“Five Per Cent.”—lnquiries show that 20 per cent of the nett proceeds was the remuneration of the organiser. We are informed that the organiser offered at the outset to carry the work through and leave the committee a free hand to fix his remuneration at any amount they thought fair and reasonable after the results of the effort were known, but the committee preferred to make a businesslike arrangement and the remuneration was fixed on exactly the same terms as those received by the organiser from similar bodies for similar work in other parts of the dominion.—Ed. S.T. “Still Waters.’’ —Not over a nom de plume.
