The Sun rises to-day at 8.20 a.m. The Sun sets to-day at 4.35 p.m. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. Waiotapu from Pacnfic Coast ports, expected to arrive at Auckland yesterday, thence she proceeds to Napier, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth, Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle. Wairuna, from Sydney, was due at Vancouver about Sunday. At Vancouver completes loading for Apia, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. Waikawa proceeds from Newcastle to Auckland, thence via Apia to Vancouver, loading there and at San Francisco in July for New Zealand and Australian ports. Waihemo, from Pacific Coast ports and New Zealand, leaves Melbourne to-day for Sydney. She will probably load coal at Newcastle for San Francisco. The Dominion Meteorologist reports: — Present indications are for variable breezes, moderate to strong northerlies ruling; cold and changeable weather generally, with scattered showers; barometer unsteady in the aouth, but rising everywhere soon.
