EARTHQUAKES
FURTHER SHOCKS AT SYDNEY. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, June 17. The suburbs were, again severely shaken and earth tremors were for the first time recorded on the seismograph at Riverview, thr?*» very marked shocks being registered. Dr Pigott states that they are undoubtedly due to explosions of gun cotton* The Eastern Extension cables are seriously interrupted The Sydney office states that the trouble is probably du? to a submarine earthquake in the Red Sea.
