TAXI AND WAGGON COLLISION. DEATH OF INJURED MAN. er United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 11. As the result of a collision between a taxi and a waggon, Frank Keenan, single, died in the hospital last night. According to the police report, Keenan was the occupant of a taxi which collided with an unlighted waggon driven by Alfred Denton. Keenan received a broken arm and was otherwise knocked about. In the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, Denton was fined £2 on a charge of drunkenness, and was convicted and discharged for driving without lights. A MAN ELECTROCUTED. DUNEDIN, June 9. Arnold Edward Thornicroft, aged 22, was admitted •to the Hospital at 8 o’clock tonight and died immediately after admission. There is evidence that deceased had come in contact with a high tension electric wire and had been electrocuted. FARMER FOUND SHOT CHRISTCHURCH. June 10. William John Grand, a retired fanner, aged 44, was found this morning in an outhouse at his residence in the city, suffering from a revolver wound in the head. He was admitted to the Hospital and died shortly
