AEROPLANE CRASH

TWO MEN KILLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, June 12. An aeroplane crashed at Gloucester, killing Captain Henry Hawkins, who gained the Military Cross, the Legion of Honour, and other decorations during the war, and Thomas Lawrie, a passenger. The pilot had ascended about 150 feet when the engine appeared to cut out, and the machine crashed, pinning Lawrie and Hawkins underneath. Another passenger, Sheddon, was thrown clear, being only slightly injured.
