SCHOOL COMMITTEES
MEETINGS OF HOUSEHOLDERS. PORT CRAIG.—About thirty householders were present and Mr P. Daly presided. The roll number for the school is 24. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs T. Scammell (chairman), J. Wixon, J. Carroll, G. Wilson and R. Sutton. The committee decided to make immediate application to the Department for a new and more spacious school to relieve the congestion in the present building on the beach.
