LONDON, May 1.3 (Received May 14, 1.15 a.m.) The steamer Benalla, en route to Sydney, is ashore at Pevensey Bay, as the result of a collision during a fog. There was no low of life. WRECK OF THE TASMAN. VESSEL NOT VISIBLE. (Per United Press Association.) WHAKATANE, May 13. The wrecked Tasman lies in about one hundred feet of water. An inspection this morning failed to find any trace of the ship or cargo. RELIEF FOR THE CREW. DUNEDIN, May 13. The Shipwreck Relief Society has instructed Captain Fleming, the Auckland representative, to reimburse the crew of the Tasman £lO each for loss of clothes. THE HUANUI. HOPE OF REFLOATING. GISBORNE, May 13. The ketch Huanui, which was driven ashore near Big River on Wednesday night, has gone higher up the as the result of heavy seas, but hopes are entertained that she can be refloated.
