PRICE OF GAS
THE AUCKLAND INCREASE. A LABOUR PROTEST. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 14. The further increase in the price of gas announced by the Auckland Gas Company was discussed at a meeting of the Auckland Gas Employees' Union. It was decided to make inquiries of the Board of Trade as to whether the present price of coal warranted the increased charge. The Labour Representation Committee has decided to protest against the increase.
