A 'statement has 1 >c:■ n ur, nished to the Minister of Railway? by the Department showing the iinount of railway coal that ha? been released by the Department to local bodies and essential industries throughout the country between October 1. lOtt), and May 20, 1920. The gross amount was 27,889 tons, and coal has born released at one time and another within this period to practically every’ local body, gas company and freezing works in the country, as well ns a great deal to other industries. Some has been released also for urgent domestic requirements in different Irrealities.
