OUTBREAK PREDICTED IN AMERICA. ASSASSINATION CONSPIRACY. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, April 29. (Received April 30, 5.15 p.m.) The New York Times’ Washington, correspondent says Mr Palmer, Attorney-Gen-eral, announces that the Rods have marked a large number of State and Federal officials and other prominent men for assassination on May 1 as part of a general strike demonstration. The Department of Justice is taking all precautions to protect those whose lives are threatened. It is understood that the Communist party and the I.W.W. are in co-operation in a scheme to force the United States to recognise the Soviet in Russia.
