SCHOOLS BREAK-UP
TISBURY SCHOOL. On ihc afternoon of December 16 a number of parents assembled at tie Tisbury school to witness break-up day. Prizes were distributed by the headmaster and Miss Gray, senior assistant. Afterwards Miss Gray in a neat speech, on behalf of settlers and school presented Miss O’Meara, junior assistant, who is about to sever her connection with the school, with a handsome writing case and fountain pen. Miss O’Meara suitably replied. The prize-winners were as follows: Std. 6—Maud Thomas I; Thomas Jenkins 2. Std s—Lilys—Lily Clark 1; Gordon Whyte 2. Std 4—George McNeil 1; Minnie Thomas 2, Std 3—Kathleen Corkin 1; Irene Hewitt 2. Std. 2—H. Whyte 1; B. Riddell 2; H. Wixon 3.. Std. I—J.1 —J. McChesney 1; H. Corkin 2; E. Thomas 3. P Class—Willie Lawton 1; 11, Hewitt
