OAMARU MARKETS. OAMARU, August 18. There has been little movement in oats, hut the market cannot be described as active. Sales have been reported of A grade Cartons at 3/11 to 4/- net, country stations, and 4/6 net, delivered at Oamaru; seed Algerians, 3/9 to 3/10 net, country stations; Ruakuras, 3/6 net, on trucks. Some business is reported in oaten sheaf chaff at £6 10/- net, on trucks, and also delivered in Oamaru. Potatoes advanced considerably during the week. Early in the week purchases were made at £8 10/- net, on trucks; but later £9 to £0 10/- was paid, at country stations, and up to £9 15/- net, delivery in Oamaru. THE TALLOW MARKET. Delgety and Company (Limited) reports having received the following cable from its head office, dated August 13: —“ Tallow auction. Offered 2000, sold 313 casks tallow, mostly gut. Nominal quotation: Beef, 112/- per cwt; mutton, 110/- per cwt; mixed tallow, good colour, 102/- per cwt; gut, 84/- per cwt; buyers very reserved." LONDON WOOL SALES.
