THE DRIVERS' DISPUTE
EMPLOYERS’ PROPOSALS REJECTED. (Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, December 12. At a meeting of the Otago Motor and Horse-drivers’ Union a motion was carried to the effect that the offer submitted by the employers to representatives in Wellington of the Drivers’ Union for a settlement of the dispute is most unreasonable, unsatisfactory, and not worthy of further consideration and therefore is unanimously rejected. The meeting decided to put tha case in the hands of the executive of the Drivers’ Federation with a recommendation that the matter be placed in the hands of the Transport Workers’ Advisory Board.
