48TH REINFORCEMENTS
Onljr^r.twelve men out of the mimh>f which >t comprised the .> 48th Reinforcement draft proceeded to camp from Group XIV by the express yesterday afternoon. The draft was conducted to the station by the Bth Regimental Band and before going away was addressed by the Mayor, (Mr J. Stead). The Mayor stated that he was glsd to be able to tell them that he did not think it would be necessary for them to do any ' fighting. He liked the spirit they had shown in going away when they had the opportunity of Waiting till January. His wished'them God speed and a quick return.
