AMERICAN WHEAT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, September 3. President Wilson has announced that the present price of wheat (two hundred cents per bushel) will be applied to the 1919 crop unless investigation discloses the necessity for an increase. It is difficult to guarantee a price for a year ahead because if there should be peace Europe would advantage of the huge stocks of grain in Australia, India, and the Argentine. This would mean that the United States would have to face a loss of five hundred million dollars through inability to sell the surplus for the high price guaranteed. LONDON MARKET.
