Owners of flat races, hurdlers, and steeplechasers are reminded that nominations for the Dunedin J.C.'s Winter meeting are duo this (Friday) evening. Tlie fixture, which ra-Uks as the final meeting of the current fiat racing season, is a favourite one with owners and tho public alike, and is, therefore, expected to attract very strong fields tonight. LADIES’ HOCKEY, COLLEGIATE A v. UNION^ Collegiate defeated Union by 5 to 2. The game was very keen from start to finish, and by the way Union was playing they should come out nearer the top this season. Collegiate played a firstrate game, and some pretty passing went on up in the forwards. Misses D. Rabbidge, Dykes, Kissell, Findlay, and McMillen did good work In the backs. For Collegiate M. Healey (1), E. McGregor (2), H. Davies (1), and R. Godward (1), scored. Misses Hawke, Junker, Bain and Hayward played a good game for Union, both Misses Hayward and Bain scoring one goal each. Mr J. Marcusson controlled the game.
