WATERSIDE WORKERS
EFFECT OF INCREASED WAGES. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 18. Reviewing the recent conference between watersiders and employers, Mr Daniel, Chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board, who presided, said that the increase in wages of 2d per hour will cost the Board directly £6500, while the consequent increase to other workers will substantially increase the amount.
