First Trim made up ground at the back followed by Pretty Bobby, who was three lengths away, then came Court Jester, Harriet Graham, Bridges, Becassine, Rushford, jWilliam the Silent, Capricious and Aides. At the home turn Court Jester -was in third position behind Lucky Escape and First Trim, with Harriet Graham fourth. Lucky Escape led into the straight from Court Jester and Harriet Graham. In another few strides Court Jester ran to the front from Harriet Graham, Green Cap, Lucky Escape and Rushford. At the distance Court Jester and Harriet Graham were on terms in advance of Green Cap and Rushford. The finish was fought out betwen Court Jester and Harrier Graham, the latter winning by half a length, with Rushford four lengths away third, Green Cap was fourth.
