SHORTAGE OF 1501. , (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 5. The national shortage for the 29th Reinforcements, which mobilise in May is 1501, The ballot for 4503 names is now proceeding. , The Bay of Plenty escapes the ballot ffcr the third time. North Canterbury failed to supply one voluntary recruit. VOLUNTARY RECRUITING.
