MR HUGHES’ OPINION. AUSTRALIA SHOULD BE REPRESENTED. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association). MELBOURNE, January 28. Received January 28, 5 p.m. Mr Hughes, commenting on Mr Lloyd George’s interview, says that owing to the doubt as to what the Conference woud deal with he had hitherto purposely- refrained from expressing an opinion as to the necessity for direct representation. It was now clearly imperative that Australia should be directly represented.
