Sailed —Erl ward Luckenbach (3 p.m.), ter Wellington. THE WEATHER. SUMMARY AND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, January 26. Warm, cloudy and hazy conditions have ruled and rain has fallen in scattered localities. Variable easterly breezes have prevailed ami little change in the atmospheric pressure has taken place since yesterday. Present indications are for cloudy to overcast conditions generally, with drizzling rain in many parts of the country. Strong easterly winds are probable northward of Kawhia and Fast Cape, and moderate to strong north-easterlies to south-easterlies predominating elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady, but with a falling tendency in the northern districts.
