PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright) (The Times.) LONDON. January iT>. A representative deputation from local authorities and medical bodies urged Lord Rhondda <president of the Local Government Board) to legislate to prevent unqualified men treating those suffering from venereal disease and to suppress quack advertisements. Lord Rhondda said he realised the burning nature of the question. He. regarded it as one of the most urgent and legislation would probably be introduced early giving effect to the recommendations of the Royal Commission. It was essential that publicity be given to the grave dangers of the scourge and that free and secret treatment be provided.
