Mr Pemberton's weather summary:— The barometer has fallen considerably in the south since last evening. Westerly winds have prevailed and Increased in force to-day. Fair weather has continued in the northern districts but cloudy skies have become general southward of New Plymouth and Castlepolnt, and rain has fallen in the southernmost districts and in the high country of the South Island.

Present Indications are for unsettled, cloudy, and squally weather, with rain following generally, and heavy rain in the west coast and southernmost districts of the South , Island. Westerly winds, strong to a gale, are likely to prevail, with a southerly tendency soon in the south. Tho barometer will fall in the north and is unsteady in the south.
