It is estimated that under the Military Service Act there will he some 10,000 fresh enrolments of men who did not register under the National Registration Act. New Zealanders being a migratory people, who never stay long in one spot, it is estimated that the number of men who will require to notify change of address since the National Register was taken will be anything from iiO.OOO to 1(10,000. Tiie value of the enrolment certificates to tie issued being very considerable, it is reckoned that practically every Reservist will apply for ills certificate. There being 200,000 reservists already on the roll, the task of issuing these certificates, therefore, presents the greatest difficulty, and arrangements have been made hy the Government Statistician for the employment of a large staff to cope with the work. For this purpose he has .secured special offices in Routh's Buildings, in Foatherslon street, Wellington, says the Post. A lug effort will he made to get the whole of these certificates issued hy the end of the present month, so that every man of military age will then he armed with his certificate, and be able to satisfy all inquiries that may be made of him by em. ployers and police constables.
