IN exorcise of the powers conferred on It by Part XLII of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 19*08," the South Invercargill Borough Council hereby make by way of a Special Order under the By-laws Act, 1910; 1. The short title of this By-law shall be the Borough of South Invercargill By-law, Part 11. 2. No person shall use any building for th© purpose of milking cows in within thirty feet of any street, nor less than thirty feet from any pigstye, nor twelve feet from any boundary line of any land not in the actual occupation of owner or occupier. 3. Any building used for the purpose of miiking cows in must have a properly constructed floor of concrete with open concrete drain for thirty feet before It enters pipe drain. All manure shall bo kept at least thirty feet away from building used for purpose of milking cows in. 4. The occupier of every house, building, or premises shall provide properly constructed receptacles for holding house refuse and rubbish. 5. Such receptacles shall be constructed of materials as to prevent any absorption or escape by leakage of any offensive matter. 6. Such receptacles shall be so constructed and bo of capacity as to be capable of being easily carried by one man. 7. The occupier of every house, building, or premises shall promptly and regularly deposit or cause to be deposited in such receptacle and keep therein all house refuse and rubbish not being of a liquid nature, and shall not put any liquid therein. This By-law Part II shall come into force on the first day of October, 1916. The foregoing resolutions and the Bylaws contained therein will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Council aforesaid to be held in Council Hall, Elies road, South Invercargill, on Thursday, the fourteenth day of September in the year 1916 at halfpast seven of the clock in the evening. A full copy of this By-law is deposited at the Office of the South Invercargill Borough Council, Elies road, and is open for inspection of the public during office hours until the said fourteenth day of September, J916.
