DENTAL WORK FOR RECRUITS
(Special to the Times.) WELLINGTON, July 21. A matter concerning dentists outside the Dental Association was raised this afternoon by Mr J. C. Thomson, who asked whether these men, although professionally qualified, were debarred from accepting work for soldiers. Mr Thomson cited the case of a dentist in Invercargill who felt aggrieved under the position. The Hon. Jas. Allen replied that an arrangement had been entered into between the Department and th© Dental Association on the basis of certain reduced prices. Their organisation examined recruits and did certain treatment, but so far as ho knew there was nothing to prevent the employment of ordinary dentists by soldiers.
