COST OF LIVING
1 ROMANOS OF RAIIAVAYMEN. OAMARU BRANCH AGGRESSIVE, (Per United Press Association.) OAMARU, February 16. A largely attended special general meeting of Oamaru members of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants was held to-night. The meeting was called tn discuss the cost of living and a demand for an increase in wages. The following resolution was unanimously carried : —“That while in sympathy with the Palmerston North resolution we consider that owing to the abnormal increase in the cost of living the Government should be asked to take immediate steps to cope with the same, failing this nothing less than a its increase per day will be demanded; otherwise the executive be asked to take immediate and drastic action."
